Admission to a master programme for graduates of the University of Vienna

After you finished a bachelor or diploma programme at the University of Vienna, you can ask for admission to a master programme.

Is it the same field or not?

"In the same field" means e.g. bachelor degree in Mathematics and master programme in Mathematics.

"Not in the same field" means e.g. after the completion of a bachelor in Sociology you wish to apply for a master programme in History.

Teacher accreditation programmes are always considered as studies “of a different field” (except for the Master Teacher accreditation programme).

Information concerning the relevancy or similarity of degree programmes is available in the curriculum, which you find on the detailed information site of the respective master degree programme.

Detailed information about the master programmes

You have to notify the Admission Office via e-mail to from your u:account e-mail address whether you want to start the degree programme in this particular semester until the end of the respective extended admission period.
