Admission at the University of Vienna

You have to do the admission, renewing or changes of degree programmes or the procedure for leaving the University of Vienna personally and directly in the Admission Office.

The admission period for applicants with school leaving certificates from EU/EEA countries end on February, 5th (summer semester) resp. September, 5h (winter semester). 

Applicants with school leaving certificates from non-EU/EEA countries have to send their applications until February, 5th (summer semester) resp. September, 5th (winter semester).

You can continue your studies by paying the prescribed fee (tuition fee or students' union fee). If you paid the fees to another university, you can give notice of the continuation of your studies via internet on UNIVISonline.

You can give notice about co-immatriculation via email, fax, terrestrial mail or by putting the necessary documents in the blue mail box of the Admission Office.

In the bachelor-/diploma programmes Business Administration, International Business Administration, Economics, Biology, Pharmacy, Nutritional Sciences, Psychology an Mass Media and Communication Sciences entrance exams can be held in the winter semester 2013/14. Before studying Sports, you have to pass a physical supplementary exam.

If you want to study either the master programmes Environmental Sciences, Science-Technology-Society, MEi:CogSci or one of the PhD programmes in Economics you can only be admitted after passing a special entrance exam
