    Choice of degree programmes

    The University of Vienna offers more than 180 degree programmes. You can choose among Bachelor-/Master- and PhD-programmes.

    University Courses are offered by the Continuing Education Center.

    The Disability Officer of the University of Vienna helps students with physical impairement(s) or mental health difficulites in questions regarding the organization of their studies.

    Application/Admission

    Once you decided what to study, the next step is the application resp. the admission. Within the pre-registration period you have to announce via internet, what you want to study. Than you have to finish the admission procedure in the Admission Office within the admission deadlines.

    Study programmes with special entrance exams

    You can only be admitted to the bachelor programmes Psychology, Mass Media and Communication Sciences, the master programme Environmental Sciences and to the PhD programmes of Economics if you passed the special entrance exams. There are special deadlines and admission procedures for these studies

    Planning the semester

    After the admission you have to plan your semester. You need the course programme and the curriculum of your study for doing this. The student's representants can help you with your questions concerning your degree programme.

    Tuition fee & student's union dues

    In order to continue your studies, you have to pay the tuition fee and student's union dues for every semester within the admission deadlines. If you meet the conditions, you can ask for remission of the tuition fee.

    To specialize in your interests, you have to complete Complementary study programmes (Erweiterungscurricula/EC) or Alternative Erweiterungen (AE) when you are studying a bachelor programme.
